So I’ve bent my rear rotor. I’ve ‘fixed’ it so it’s rideable but still a long way from perfect. It’s probably easily repairable by any mechanic with a proper trueing stand.
Trouble is, my wife and I are leaving for a trip to Victoria to ride the trails around Forrest, pretty much straight after Christmas and won’t have time to drop it off anywhere before then. So I’m wondering if I should just get a new one and put it on?
If so, am I best off replacing it with exactly the same one or should I put something ‘better’ on? Would it make a difference? I’m a novice so the rear brakes get a fair workout and I’m not fussed spending a bit extra if it’s worth the money.
TL;DR - Bent rotor, no time to fix properly, what should I to replace it with?
