Hi,

Being 6'7'' 215lbs, it limits the choice of bikes quite abit.
And to be really honest I don't have 10'000$ to spend on a bike as we speak.
So, right now I'm looking at two options:
The Transition Relay and the Amflow PL

I'm more an enduro guy but the Amflow would be plenty for my local trail.

Price wise theyre close enough.

Main thing is the drive unit , I would go all in on the Relay if it wasn't for the Fazua system... (Reliability seems good with the revisions tho)
The Amflow witht he Dji unit seems like a hoot and would be maybe more adapted for my size ?

Anyway , what do you guy use/recommend ?

Any other bikes I'm missing ?

Thanks !

Welcome to the forum - great source of useful information.

I'm 6'8 and unfortunately 225lbs, and that's before the mince pies come out for Christmas!!

FWIW I'm currently on an XL Trek Rail 7 Gen 3. The only adjustment I made was to slide the seat back an inch, and recently increased the rise with different bars, fits like a glove. I didn't look too far, as my previous was an XXL Trek Fuel, bulletproof build quality IMO so I didn't need any convincing after a test ride or two on a mates Rail :D Plenty of power when required from the Bosch CX Performance Line too. Got it for a shade under £4k.

The only thing I definitely wasn't willing to compromise on, was a removable battery in my case - and the RIB system is a breeze. Definitely ride what you can, to see what fits first tho I'd say, especially with our height 🤟

The Transition Relay and Amflow PL have sizable differences in both power, and ultimately cost IIRC.

Thanks for the info ! I didn't think about Trek , I thought about a Transition because I demo'd a Sentinel XXL in 2021 and it blew my mind how confortable it was at my height , so I assume the Relay would be similar.

I can't really compare anything to my current bike since its a custom steel full suspension frame built to my size

I'm the same height and ride an XL Rail. Specialized in size 6 have a 532mm reach which is very long. Santa Cruz XXL bikes are around 525mm which is plenty big enough too.

Just under 6ft7 and feel your pain re sizing :) Bikes I've found work quite well for me; 2 that I bought - Merida e160 XL (had to adjust stem/bars a little but great fun bike to ride, Pole Voima K4 (by far the best sized bike I've owned). Others I've ridden - Whyte e160 XL (was a good fit). Have a Santa Cruz xxl (non ebike) which has a good reach but had to adjust the stem and add quite a bit of rise to the bars for me. Yet to try one but the Mondraker sizing looked pretty good and was on my shortlist for my last purchase (as was the Trek Rail). Reach is important but I actually find if you're long legged a decent stack height is just as key.

Motors wise I'll be sticking Bosch for the foreseeable. Would be interested in the DJI in a burlier frame potentially once it and warranty have been proven for a bit longer.

I’m 6’6” and sadly 270 right now because I haven’t been riding much the last 18 months. I’m on a S6 Levo. I think I over compensated for a lifetime of too short of reach. The reach is a bit too long for me by I’m making it work. First bike I’ve ever ridden a 35mm stem and saddle not slammed all the way back.

I notice you're from Canada. I don't think you can buy a Amflow in Canda yet. Also no Canyon e-bike.
