Without riding together in the same place who knows , I went for a ride a few weeks back with a friend who had a demmo Levo , he got similar miles to me but we noticed how low the modes were , the Levo needed it’s middle power mode to equal the shimano eco or lowest mode and it’s boost was similar to my mid range trail , perhaps lots of use of that low mode on the Levo helps . I often wish I had a lower than eco mode and I only use the boost for fun its never needed to climb anything
I can adjust my modes to what ever I like independant from each other from 0-100%. I can run eco at 86% trail at 43% and turbo at 18% if I like.

That could get complicated ? We messed about with changing the power but all ended up just using the default medium setting we’re all very similar fitness so anyone running different power settings has to adjust to keep up , its just the eco i can’t change . It’s just right most of the time and we generally just turn it off altogether if we’re on flat easy peddling stuff , occasionally when riding with normal bikes it would be good to reduce it , or better still just split the power levels into 4 instead of 3 perhaps , although that could complicate the techy riding when you need a quick shift to get up a step or something .

I did (twice) a 2h ride, total of 42km 700m elev roundtrip before i went all out of capasity, riding mostly very fast singletrail (20-30kmh), and the climb was all on road (mostly just rolling down again). Alot done in trail mode, some eco, no boost. Brand new E8000, 504wh, gps measured numbers (strava).
Could have gotten 5km more in the end with careful use of eco instead of testing a climb again.

I`m 75kg ride ready, OK fit (200h+ cardio a year), and where pedaling pretty good all the way, 120-140bpm hrm.

That someone 40+kg heavier, on a different bike but same battery capasity climbs more than twice what i did on same distance, and leaves 30-40% capasity, just tells me there atleast has to be a big difference in how the ride`s where done and/or measured. Winds, average speed, how much the rider input is etc etc.
One bike/brand vs another might have 5-10% difference, but there is no way there is 40% ++ difference in efficency.

Now that I’ve been on a keto diet for a few months I can report results; I’ve dropped from 210 pounds to 199 and am still producing about the same power level on my rides with good energy.

Theoretically, burning fat takes about 15 percent more oxygen, but I haven’t noticed; before I get winded I just turn up the power. Weight loss on this diet has been pretty easy; I don’t feel like I’m starving and am still OK with cheating once in a while.

A big advantage with the eBike is that I don’t get hungry and then overeat like I did on the clockwork bike and don’t bother to eat on any ride under two hours but will usually prep with a little extra protein before hand.

Weird thing; vegetables like green beans and broccoli taste really good to me now; I’ll go for those before the meat sometimes.

Hey tomato paste, nutrition science has unequivocally proven that you can lose the most weight and benefit healthwise the most from switching to a primarily whole foods plant-based diet.

Diet books create a lot of confusion about this because the fastest way for a doctor to become a millionaire is to write a romance novel... Wait they suck at that… oh yeah yeah, write a new diet book instead. These doctors always cherry pick junk nutrition science studies to back up their claims for their spiffy new diet with a new spin on what is best to eat compared to other diets.
I work with the Ornish disease reversal program, teaching patients with significant heart disease how to change their diet to a whole foods plant-based diet, to reverse their heart disease and become healthy again. Google this program and read about why it works and you will know the best way to lose the weight that you want. The real beauty of this diet is you don't have to starve yourself/limit calorie intake but you still lose weight.

I am now 48 and at 6'3" and 135 KG at the start of the year something had to change. Life style has a huge impact on this also as I work in Kazakhstan so time on the ebike is limited. I do have a manual bike here in KZ but getting out on it in winter is not possible, now weather is good but again in a few weeks it will be too dam hot again.

Anyway cutting out carbs to a minimum, cutting the beer intake and getting out on the bikes when I can has seen me lose 10kg so far and I feel a lot better for it. Target is 100KG by the new year.
