Range Extender, have Bosch " boshed " it so that it is myth.

Mate on his Focus Thron ( hasn't got the port for a range extender ) Gen4 motor is looking for a range extender which he can fit. His is the standard 625W battery but on some of our longer rides we are getting a bit of battery worries.

Has anyone got one working, any company make them, any clues here would be appreciated.

Which Gen4? 2021, or 2022 Smartsystem?

• Gen4 2021 allows to mount double battery and probably the Powermore range extender.
• Gen4 Smartsystem (from 2022) require that your Bike Manufacturer changes Configuration parameter: POWERMORE READY = NO-->YES, and then you can plug Powermore Range Extender.

The charge port is not an issue, you can buy it for 23€.

My friends with 2021 Gen4 have two batteries in the ebike, an internal powertube and an external powerpack.

This is the kit you need:

But I am not an expert, better ask your LBS

Local LBS's are not very helpful in these sort of matters, most don't know the basics let alone the more advanced areas in the Bosch software.

It would be so handy if we could get some App that " reads " your motor's full settings rather than an abbreviated part of.
