Dears! I'm about to decide on the e-bike purchase. My favorite is 2022 S-Works Turbo Levo. I know that there might be a couple of threads with a similar question, but let's look at my dilemma following my preferences and assumptions.
I'm 1,86 m tall, which corresponds to 6.1ft. Based on the Specialized specifications, I'm somewhere at the end of S4 and in the middle of S5. That's what the below chart says.
As per the suggestions from Spec, there's no wrong choice. I mean, as long as we are in the range of any size, it should be fine. At the beginning of my riding, I had a 21" Trek MTB hardtail (frame from the 90s). It was a bit too long for me. During long rides, I always had a pain in my neck.
The next bike I decided to buy was an all-mountain full-suspension Breezer - size L. Of course, from time to time, I have pain when I ride long distances. However, the situation is much better here. My position is more erected, which gives me more comfort at the end.
I prefer to have a more comfortable position than a sporty. S4 would be a better choice I think. Nevertheless, a bike cannot be too small and should also give good stability. It means I'm struggling with the proper size choice. The bad thing is that during this COVID time, the availability of high-end bikes is deficient. I cannot find this bike in the local dealers or Germany to compare two sizes in reality. It's challenging to buy the bike locally. To enjoy riding still this season, I would need to make the online purchase.
Guys, what are your experiences from riding both sizes? Is anyone from you the same height as me? Please advise!
