Completely new to this forum and also to EMTB's, so please allow for my ignorance!
My wife has just replaced her electric road trike with a Jorvik JMT7 which has a Befang screen/controller and a M510 mid motor.
Carole has MS and the old trike (when in pedal assist) had constant assistance and was very easy to get it to 'kick-in', the new trike needs more load to get the assist to start and then it doesn't last long so she is really struggling with it.
I have had a quick search online and it looks like some parameter adjustments may be made and could help her, anybody know if this is correct and where I should start?

Hopefully someone can give some advice as the old trike was her lifeline and took her to places she that her MS would restrict, hopefully we can get the new one to do the same.....

Thanks Steve

If your M510 is version 2, you can set how much force and how long it takes to start the assistance.
You need the Bafang BESST interface and the Bafang BESSTPRO app.

With the M510 you all parameters could adjusted. you have specific rubric for this motor
The better way is to find somebody (or an dealer) near you who have BESST tool and request help to set your motor. At max if you have older controler version, you just need to replace it only for newer (+- 80 euro)
