Noticed the other day had a crank boot missing. After taking a look discovered a crack at the bottom of the arm.
Inspected the other side, same but not as big.

Putting load on it can't see the cracks get bigger

Whats everyone's opinion keep riding them or replace?

Anyone else with praxis carbon cranks?
Can you pop off the boots and have a look.

Intresting both are the same

That looks bad, is this not a warranty claim? Thing is that, as you know, carbon has a tendency to critically and instantly fail once it's cracked, so i would be a bit weary to continue using them also considering that it's the fist "high load" point put on the bike by your body weight.

L.E. seems like the issue is not that uncommon Snapped carbon crank - EMTB Forums

Personally, as a big dude who sends big jumps, this is one of my worst fears (snapping a crank or pedal spindle when landing a jump). I would not ride those at all.

Doubt there will be warranty. Can see it being wear and tear.

Iv had a few massive pedal stikes that almost bucked me off the bike.

In the daylight today I could see the crack opening up when loading it up.

Will be ordering new ones

Generally that's one of the challenges with using carbon cranks along with big platform pedals. Inevitably you'll come down hard on the outside edge and the amount of force on the area with the pedal threads is ginormous.

I can't get hold of any Praxis Alloy 160mm crank arms for my SL in the U.K. Praxis U.S won't send them to me and the U.K Praxis distributor don't carry them. so what I would like to know is, is there any difference between carbon and alloy cranks? (as I can get the carbon ones in 160mm)

They are 100 grams lighter, although the 2nd generation posted by Osh look beefier. They are easier to damage. I didn't replace the boots soon enough and scuffed the ends a bit, but no cracks or delamination. Just picked up 4 pairs of boots from Praxis. I imagine pedal strikes will be less of a concern with the 160mm arms.
I'm running 170mm.
