PNW Loam or DMR Deathgrips?

I'm looking for a fatter grip and one with a bit of chatter absorption - I like the look of those 2 grips I've mentioned in the title.

What are peoples thoughts on them, and is one comfier than the other?

Be careful with the Deathgrips. I bought the hard by mistake, purely because of colour choice. I went for Revgrips in the end, superb but spendy

I found the pnw loams pretty good compared with the dmr's. I was still getting issues with the loams so went down the esi chunky route. The chatter sets off my carpal tunnel and the wider diameter of the esi chunkies stop me from death gripping and really do help with chatter.

I’ve got the larger Deathgrips, and was having wrist pain. I had changed bike, and previously had Ergon grips… but my hands felt like they were in the wrong place.
I changed my bars to SQ Labs with a 12deg backsweep / 45mm rise (I’d never heard of SQ Labs, but there were lots of forum recommendations) and they solved my issue completely.

I’ll be getting another pair of Deathgrips when these wear out!

My grandson had some DMR Deathgrips bought for Xmas a few years ago for his new bike (also a Xmas present). He didn't realise that they are supposed to be hammered onto the bars (nor did I), so until they wore out his bar width was wider by 20mm per side! If you hammer them on, they need to be cut off; hence the name Deathgrip, I suppose.

Maybe I'm getting weaker as I get older?
Correction: I am definitely getting weaker, effin' arthritis!

The inside diameter of the grip is definitely tapered, maybe the narrow ends of those particular grips were at the smaller end of the range occurring during production?

Not even my grandson, who must have been about 14 at the time, could pull them off. And you would have thought that at his age he would have had plenty of practice.

I guess reading directions is important. And no, they don’t need to be cut of. They come off pretty easily.
