Brilliant ride yesterday Bridge of Orchy to Taynuilt then train to Tyndrum then West Highland Way back to car at Bridge of Orchÿ . Impressed with old battery , 39 miles 3000ft and still 26 percent left in battery. Big search for missing walker 10 vehicles chopper etc stopped a few times and asked if I had seen anyone , his Ebike is still chained up at bottom of hill . Commando Memorial bonus pic.

Epic day at kielder yesterday weather was special If a little chilly int morning
Got to ride the new trails that’s basically finished and ready to open in May
Had a bit craic with the trail builders and forestry that were working there
Got permission to ride them
Nearly wiped oot some melt coming UP the descent and ended up going down the double black section
Which is absolute quality tbh and pretty spicey for kielder
New trails are great but these aren’t adaptive like they opened last year

Also rode on the new section after skydive that opened a short while ago
Continuation of the adaptive trails that there building

Got an invite for a social ride from Alex Mac. on 3rd May and also for the opening on the 6th .but we will be heading up to Ballater on the 4th ..so not risking anything prior ..

When I wer a lad , I was on this boat Sprat fishing. The Japanese hired it to search for Nessie. Talking 1972 ish . There was a programme on about Nessie a few weeks ago so made my day to see this boat

On my commute home from work yesterday, I had two encounters with wildlife;
First, I hit a slow worm. Luckily, it seemd to be able to escape, but I recon it woke up with an aching back today.
Then, only a few meters further down the trail, a beaver had cut down a small birch across the trail. The beaver had left the scene.

Lovely can't remember the last time I cycled in the Gloaming as we call it.

The stretch downhill there is one we compete over. The record is 60 seconds top to bottom but since I had my front wheel over the start of the segment while we chatted, Strava recorded four minutes.
