I tell ya, Cell4soul, your Arizona pics really show the kind of riding I like. I'm a desert guy primarily but not the continuous deep sand kind of desert. However, I've been somewhat surprised and pleased with how well my Trek Rail does sandy sections...as long as they don't go on and on.

Enjoy your Hurrican, UT ride. Southern Utah may be my overall favorite place to ride both dirt motors and MTB's. I spent years on trips to the Moab area riding just about every trail out there...never tired of it. Porcupine Rim was my favorite.

Cycling is about the only thing i multi day at . Get offered every year on a four day paddle trip but about 3 hours of that is enough for me

Trying out some new cranks for my Kenevo SL. These ones allow one to easily test the difference between using 175mm and 150mm cranks and in theory, for those who have legs of different lengths, you can offset your power leg.

Where they attach to the motor they both say "LH Thread". The cranks for my Bosch CX motor are both right hand threads. I'm not talking about pedals.
Woah! Way to freak the sh!t out of me! :) I ALREADY thought something didn't look right but I just checked on my bike and both cranks say left hand thread.

According to this Dentist's how to video, I don't understand what the splines are used for. I thought it was to extract the crank but apparently not 🤷‍♂️

Did 20 miles in Sedona, AZ today. Tomorrow I’ll be riding Monolith Gardens in Kingman, AZ. Thursday I’ll be riding Gooseberry Mesa in Hurricane, UT. It is gonna be an epic 3 days.

Beware of cacti. Falling into them is to be avoided. I had one snag my glove a few years ago and was in pain for weeks on end and could not remove the tiny thorns. Even had a Dr look at it and told me you just have to wait it out. Thanks Doc. Mash.jpeg

I was hoping he would not be able to start that early in the year. 😇
Just back in after a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon session, a quiet gallon of the black stuff followed by a delightful corned beef and beetroot sarnie……..enough practice for one day

You know what?! Found this sandwich this morning at the bakery and could not resist. The British Army stationed in my county obviously left some beet root food prints. 🤗 Very nice! 👍

I did a “there and back” ride along the Northumberland coast this morning. It’s a flat ride with undulating quiet roads and paths. Trying to get a little fitness back by turning off the Purion and riding the bike under my own power for as long as I could. A brisk South Easterly blowing along the coast was a great help on the outward 16 mile, hardly used the motor assistance.
This is the uninviting North Sea south of Cresswell village very bleak.

Further north a pic of Coquet Island a well known bird sanctuary off the coast at Amble. Still you see people on the beach.

Amble Harbour and the castle at Warkworth where legend has it that Uhtred of Bebbanburg last Saxon king of Northumbria took his marra’s for a night on the lash when they had time off from saving the country

IMG_7357.jpeg IMG_7359.jpeg

These pics are in stark contrast to @Cell4soul and @etoni offerings. At least it was dry and absolutely effing freezing on the return leg……. 32 miles covered and just into the 4th bar of lekky. IMG_7358.jpeg

Not good at putting pics in the right order 😅

Those lads were lightweights compared to my ancestors ...you should have seen Ivar The Boneless( Danish Viking) trying to exit the pub after a gallon or two ..still barred from The Harbour Inn ..apparently 😉😂

Gooseberry Mesa and Wire Mesa in Utah. Gooseberry was rated expert (double black diamond) in some areas, but there is no way it was that difficult. I cleaned everything on my first try except 1 feature and had 2 pedal strikes on easy sections where I just wasn’t paying attention. I am probably just an upper intermediate rider, but like to ride advanced trails, especially if it is slow tech.

Nice! I'll be out there in a week. While there's nothing that's Double Black in technicality, I wouldn't take anyone out there who wasn't a "good" and "solid" rider. The "serious" aspect comes from riding on the mesa's edge. Failure is not an option.

Will you be out there this weekend? What are you going to ride? There will be pictures, I hope.

I am already back home in AZ. I rode everything on a solo road trip, so no action shots. I stopped by Over The Edge bike shop. The owner is really cool. He always has group rides to show people around if you‘re into that. Otherwise, he’ll give you a lot of tips on the area. I saw very few other people on the trail as it was mid week. You will have a really good time. I wish I had skipped the Kingman part of my trip and went straight to Hurricane.

I‘d say I hope you have a good time, but I know you will. I’ll definitely be going back. Trails are well marked. I lost the painted dot maybe twice on the whole ride and was able to quickly find it, just had to get off the bike and look for a second.

Nice! The folks who put together those trails did a spectacular job.

At least you should go to El Chorro area. Some climbing but good trails. And if you go to Portugal then Sintra area.
