Welcome to winterYa... not a big deal to go over roots as long as they are not wet, diagonal and on a steep slope otherwise it's pretty much a given you will go down.

It was 17 degrees here last weekend! Spring can be just as slippery with all the rocks, roots and structures covered in a thin layer of green slime or moss. As far as roots go, wet, diagonal or steep - pick two and you will be ok (probably). We don't call it winter until the rain doesn't stop at the bottom of the mountain and the trails are covered in snow at mid mountainWelcome to winter
Know what you mean we went through a root garden last week haha respect. You get real snow over there I've had some great skiing holidays at Whistler .It was 17 degrees here last weekend! I think @KnollyBro probably means 17CI assume you mean 17 degF not 17 degC.
17 degF is minus 8 degC. Proper chilly!
I hope so, but he's from Vancouver so I thought he might be working in Fahrenheit. And its Vancouver! And the post was about Winter.I think @KnollyBro probably means 17C
But he was stating it as a high temperature ..as it being reasonably high for the time of year ..that apart its hardly in the Arctic circle ..and shares the same seasons as this country ..I hope so, but he's from Vancouver so I thought he might be working in Fahrenheit. I can “bear” witness to @KnollyBro ‘s claim that the weather temperature was 17 degrees at a certain point of the day. I remember it well …it was sunnyBut he was stating it as a high temperature ..as it being reasonably high for the time of year ..that apart its hardly in the Arctic circle ..and shares the same seasons as this country ..
You need to buy a new air pressure gauge because the pressure is below the scaleHere's where the riding conditions are at round here. For non weather nerds, standard pressure is 1013 hpa

That is an almost perfect picture .
Spotted a lesser known Corten Fox the other day.... Just behind a huge Scottish Whisky bond a mile or so from my
Apart from the cactus, the landscape looks identical to where I used to live and ride in Central Australia.I’ve been off the bike for 3 months due to an injury and surgery. I finally rode again about 2 weeks ago. Here are some pics from my last few rides. The pics are mostly of my bike; I clearly love this thing. Arizona has incredible riding near the city for quick rides, plus places like Sedona, Flagstaff and Prescott. The weather is perfect. It is gonna be a good riding season.

Yes just saying last week I haven't been down there for many years. Sods kaw a friend going at weekend but I've been away last two weekends so need to chill a bit I think.Yesterday's ride out of Traquair , Scottish Borders...with Alan, Wayne & Ant..
The ride was a mix of Southern Upland Way, Innerleithen Red Route & Minch Moor Road .
Unfortunately not to long into the ride Alan developed a problem with his brakes ..as in he had none !..
A trail side attempted fettle couldnt rectify the problem ..and after agreeing to meet up again further into the ride he rode back to a bike shop in Innerleithen ..but the temporary fix was very short lived and he unfortunately had to admit defeat
We were sorry to see him go but we will catch up again soon .
The first few pics are mine ..mainly on the first section of the Inners Red climb to the top of Minch Moor featuring Ant & Wayne ..
