Yes West was best in Scotland over the weekend. Dry today in East then wet all week. Heating on now .

The Camel Trail is 18 miles of disused railway line ending in Padstow ,Cornwall. Mainly tarmac, so nothing exciting but enjoyable anyway. Got the proverbial four seasons in a day which is why I got warned off going onto Bodmin Moor by a local. Good advice.

I don't mind a quiet road ride. Indian summer up my way if forecast runs true. The mind works in strange ways. The anchor brought back a quote from a long time ago. I started sea at 15 an apprentice on a trawler . An old deckhand said to me , you see that Anchor there drag it to the country side and when someone says what's that you know your far enough away from this ?????? Job.

Yes but the lad carried it 7 miles inland haha. We used to catch big ones in the fishing net totalled the net each time.

Nearly missed that one , Prince of Wales ?. When I was a Sea Cadet the Ark Royal and Eagle were the ones that used to come up our area to Lossiemouth as it was Royal Navy back then .

Last year had three ticks in my groin* which were removed by my (medical) wife with a scalpel and tweezers. Didn’t get Lymes Disease.

* How, you might ask? Day before got wet and muddy so washed my liner shorts and hung them up outside to dry overnight. We were camping in The New Forest with wild deer and horses etc. so when I put them on the next day must have had a few ticks lodged in them.

Cala Galdana, Menorca a couple of days ago.

A rather marvellous 29 miles across a rather beautiful island. My first time cycling outside UK and hopefully not my last.

I've had hundreds. Was out last year I got 14 Drummond my mate got 60. Torture to get out they are so small. Tried all tools and ways . Just found 3 now from today or yesterday
