Well done, gentlemen!Apologies first of all to Colin as I had already said that I wouldn't be riding again until I'd got my rear wheel issues sorted ..but early this morning @The EMF contacted me to say that he was able to make a ride today and said the magic words " Bolts Law" ( one of my favourite trails anywhere ..not just in the North East ) ..so decided to risk one more ride before getting it fixed .
It could have easily back-fired ..but didn't and instead the mtb gods blessed us with dry & dusty trails which were so so good and totally worth the risk ..
Once again the 5km road section was sacrificed for a there & back to the top of Bolts Law & beyond ..then transporting the bikes to Blanchland for Slaley & The Carriers Way ..

Used to live in the house just off the right of that pic and blast through those woods on an old scramble bike!!The White Horse appears so peaceful & innocent viewed from a distance, but the tree canopy hides a dark secret of thrill’s & adrenaline fuelled fun

No, the farm on the side of the hill level with the White Horse, off to the right 1/4 mile as you look at the pic.Wow what a coincidence, I think I know the house you’re describing. Opposite the ‘village farm house’ just before the junction into the main village ?

Wish I lived up there now!
