Always take my Alpkit jetboil type stove on longer rides in winter so my cupasoup is piping hot. It's lighter than a thermos. It had a problem and wasn't working so after a mishap yesterday I had to get a wee Vango stove . It fits in to what I have left of Brukit so it's all OK. Nobody hurt or any damage done in the explosion miraculously.

Just curious as not having in my country. What are pink trash boxes for? Women only?

Amazing how you get half a ride dry and then splurge the last mile your clartit in mud , I give up. Planning a trip to Glencoe area next week supposed to be dry with that High they keep on about.
Agree, have to know which areas to avoid. Basically, everything on slopes has drained and dried out OK but the dips in the flats haven't IYSWIM. In our area anywhere low near the river Lavant is a quagmire because the chalk South Downs are emptying like sponges and overflowing lower banks. Tried a route yesterday called the "Literary Trail" and doubled back rather than wading through mud, and water with sewerage because Southern Water are still pumping tankers of shit into the river Lavant. Have more pictures, but same as before so no point in posting the latest ones. 😞

I had a great idea to take my g/f out to show her what I like to ride (so she could take pics of ME!) as pictures and videos can only show so much. It turned out to NOT such a good idea as she had not too much trouble hiking up the trails but hiking DOWN mtb trails can be quite difficult!

What she saw...

Most of the snow is gone, at least here in the lowlands where I live. But only 100m higher in elevation at the hillsides and in the valleys where the sun only reaches a couple of hours a day, there is still plenty.

I had a nice trip yesterday along local hiking paths up to my local "peak", 350m above sea level (in the sunny part of the terrain) .
