That's a new one on me but I've known a few stout sweethearts in my time.

Been on the go for a long time . PregnaPregnant women got prescribed Stout a long time ago . Maybe not actually Sweetheart . Its only two percent but I like it as I'm not a strong beer hand. I love going in to a bar and ordering one if I see they have it as its not available everywhere. Then I hit them with a large Lagavulin , it usually puts a smile on the barmaids face .That's a new one on me but I've known a few stout sweethearts in my time.
I must admit I’m a tad jealous of all you guys living in warmer climes, i do love sitting on a patio having a cold beer after a ride. However we have to make the best of what we have. Winters are long around here so you have to embrace it. Bought my Rail7 3 years ago in November, fitted studded tires and have been riding it in winter since. I’m good down to -15C. High elevation trails don’t really get cleared of snow til late June. Couple of pics from last weekend and two showing ‘the other winter activities’ we have to endure while waiting for summer.Hey, can you keep those bears and that snow in your area please and do whatever you want to do with it?!
I love the mild 17C and sunshine we have had today and just spend 15 minutes with simply standing in the sunshine filling up body batteries.
Nice! I’m north of you in Red Deer so we know what Alberta winters are like. We received an epic amount of snow this past season and I'll try to eke out the few remaining weeks on the trails here before it's all gone. Recently took delivery of a Norco Bigfoot VLT and set off immediately to one of local singles right from the LBS.I must admit I’m a tad jealous of all you guys living in warmer climes, i do love sitting on a patio having a cold beer after a ride. This revelation may shock and amaze you, but it's not a requirement to get covered in shite to have fun.that's how it's supposed to look if you're doing it right.
I'm a winter landscape fan and love the skiing. Had a lot of Whistler holidays flew through Calgary once but never made Lake Louise yet .I must admit I’m a tad jealous of all you guys living in warmer climes, i do love sitting on a patio having a cold beer after a ride. Did the land rover thingy give you a lift up , be honest now. It would be an enjoyable ride in clear weather lot of single track paths when up high. So no good in snow ?After riding these hills for over 25 years there are still routes to be explored ..we cocked up on this one as it turned out we were on the wrong side of a hill and the narrow sheep track was very muddy & slippery ..
Still a great day out and the largest group of wild Cheviot goats I've seen in these hills ..
Not too many pics View attachment 109525 View attachment 109526 View attachment 109527 View attachment 109528
Many thanks to Wayne & Jaco the two old goats I had the pleasure of riding with today..
I bought one due to the cost of dentistry work if you have a bad off. Not that I’m full on downhill, but you only need a week tree root or stray dog to cross your path for a bad off. For the sake of £100-£200. It’s worth it.Nice!
Bought a full face in October last year for exactly the same reason. To wear when I'm doing silly stuff, which from your pics you do far more often than me.
What did you buy your ebike this week?
Exciting stuff eh? Those are really exiting. I haven't seen one in a store for at least 18 months 😂www.emtbforums.com
Or a glass eye they aren't cheap anymore . Either is a wheel chair if you land on your neck. Happy cycling haha.I bought one due to the cost of dentistry work if you have a bad off. Being honest ..no..but the way my legs are feeling tonight ( shagged)..I wish it had ...Did the land rover thingy give you a lift up , be honest now. It would be an enjoyable ride in clear weather lot of single track paths when up high. So no good in snow ?
The Welshs answer to a call to arms if we ever got invadedpics
To be fair a full face wouldn't help with neck injuries much at the very best at the very worst the extra weight would make mech injury more commonEither is a wheel chair if you land on your neck.
Was expecting a classic BAMBAM quote here but looks like He has vanishedHad a good ride up at Hamsterley today, trails are running moist but not wet, great fun

Could be that he is quite busy doing his day job ..Was expecting a classic BAMBAM quote here but looks like He has vanished
Be great if we knew which way we were going to fall . I broke both ankles at different times in differant sporting accidents . Ribs 2 years ago could have been really nasty the way I fell . But considering the amount of years I have been cycling I've been lucky. I will say this though since I've had ebike. Just under four years and about 8000miles . I have fell off it or had silly little slips more times than all my other bikes put together. Rant over.To be fair a full face wouldn't help with neck injuries much at the very best at the very worst the extra weight would make mech injury more common
Which one?Could be that he is quite busy doing his day job ..
Don't know why that elevation gain should come as a bit of a surprise as along with the slightly moist conditions ( ) my legs still don't feel as if they belong this morning..but it does ..Another good day in the Cheviot Hills with regular riding companions Jaco and @The Hodge . Good weather light winds. Still exploring new routes both side of the Border Ridge, took an unexpected detour from OS maps but hey ho.
The trails were sodden and the climbs at times were brutal but the downs were treated with a little more respect but still so fast. All in all a tough day.
Man I love my Ebike
