Your first pic..I'd be careful trying to ride that off piste ledge next to the canal ..I know its always better riding off-road in the vegetation but in this instance the path looks a better bet as a pedal strike would have disastrous consequences ..😉
I will let you know when my skill level gets there at the moment I will keep to riding the normal route, I only ride for fun and really can not see the fun in riding on the ledge.

Race day. OK, not race day but a charity fundraiser. However, it's chip timed & so the competitive instinct kicks in. Tough keeping the average speed, spesh as the route signage was poor & so I missed a few turns on course but I think I won (!) and raised a few quid so it's all good.

Finally got my arse into gear, loaded the bike onto the Buzzrack for its maiden journey..... Destination Lady Cannings

Would only have time for a few runs but ended up doing 2 of each as time was scarce today.

Glad i got out and enjoyed the trails albeit expecting them to be longer but fun all the same.

Good to test the Buzz out too which went well except not being used to having a bike on the back so it was a bit distracting at times.

Mmmmm!!! looking at youtube videos.... i might have my trails mixed up due to a lad saying " this is CookingOnGas and that one is BlueSteel " was i told a load of BS

Yeah Blue Steel is the one that starts with the weaved fences, Cooking on Gas the one that’s a bit rough! Not that it really matters 😆🤟🏼

You've gone slightly wrong there mate ..those trees are too far away to offer any shade ..😁😉

Haha, it was a bit warm from that viewpoint in the direct sunshine

We went deep into dark side of the forest with some old gullies to cruise down. Lovely and damp & cool, the downside being that’s also where all the insects decided to have a mass party so were covered in bugs from head to foot. Little buggers even got inside my earlugs

Do you have winter gear on?

Haha no that’s my partner. She still wears all her protective gear, full face, elbow & knee pads, long trousers & top. She had a nasty otb last week on a steep section where she didn’t realise a two foot drop wasn’t rollable, so puts her safety first before cool clothing!
