How are you doing this morning re off ?Must be the day for it, I did the same except it was a sniper rock that got me, over the bars, hit the floor hard.
Whole left side now hurts, nothing broken I think, but probably bruised ribs.
Er… there's no water in the second picture?-2 deg 40+mph winds this morning so I took the EEB out on my local hardtail route, back roads, singletrack and bridleways......was great I love my E150-RS.... View attachment 57739 View attachment 57740 If I didn’t have this I wouldn’t have been out ?
Trails drying out nicely.
actually not as bad as I expected .How are you doing this morning re off ?
Could be that you’ve twated a tendon in your shoulder somewhere buddy.......take care and speedy recovery ?actually not as bad as I expected .
Ribs are much better, but now my arm is playing up, think I must have sprained some muscle in my upper arm/shoulder area and not noticed it yesterday, but now its quite difficult to lift my arm above shoulder height.
The joys of mountain biking.... makes you feel alive - or something like that.
Damm......there’s no fooling you guy’s. Anyway I thought of claiming against you Mr Hodge for your description of a Puddle after some of the recent posts on “ unpaid free guided tours” could be looking at millions......what do you recon ? We could go 50/50 ??I noticed that too Bill..
Did you also notice the comment that the "trails were drying out nicely "..
Of course he doesn't really mean that ..he's just trying to promote himself as a normal bloke ..?
?????Nice thinking ..but 50/50 wont cut it for me mate as my premiums will sky rocket ..without being too greedy what about 95/ 5 in my favour
..anyway I'm sure I promoted that ride as a spa treatment day..?
Very good @PiginADULT CONTENT
Not all colloquialisms carry
With reference to the the medical term of having “twatted” ones shoulder.
It may help the none UK reader to understand the present tense of “twatted”
Twat
Noun . ‘Oh you twat!” Can be used as a rebuke when there has been misfortune or mischief. Not a term of endearment. Harsher than scoundrel or rapscallion. Can be used towards inanimate objects such as a misplaced hammer strike on ones thumb or when one catches ones finger on a thorn for example. Jane Austen and Wordsworth were particularly found of the latter I believe.
Verb. We know that having something twatted involves heavy contact. As in this instance it can be accidental or indeed purposeful as in “I twatted him” referencing a blow to the body. This can be with bodily force or using and object as in “I twatted him with a bat”.
Pronoun Intellectual levels of it are also know to exist as in “silly twat” or indeed “clever twat” but it is rarely seen as complementary unless said between friends. “You cheeky twat” would be a common retort to banter between friends or when one has got the upper hand on the other.
There are degrees of twatting but it is most often found in the form a good amount as in “a good twatting’. This is possibly superseded by “a right good twatting”. There are also size differentials to the term as they can be “little” or “great big” it is therefore important to understand that these measurements predate metrication.
I think you may now have a rough idea on this very important, misunderstood and often mispronounced term and how to use the correct amount ferocity when applying the term.
@Mteam I am reliably informed that laughter is the best medicine, I hope this goes someway to aid your recovery.
I'm going to do it again ... it's not a bike ...
Went for a 50k bimble this morning to try out different chainring/cranks and how it was to pedal with the power on/power off compared to normal/in the name of science ! . So, 25k power on, 25k power off .. really exciting ... not .. my legs hurt. Really should have swapped out the DH22's first.
Had to loop back and pitstop as I forgot my water bottle and discovered I'd put the cranks on the wrong way round as the pedals kept unscrewing themselves
Anyway .. These were all asleep as I approached but my noisy tyres woke them up .. I thought the deer would run off. He didn't ! He was pretty nervous, but just moved between the cows for re-assurance ! Never seen that before.

Yes. The DH22's are definitely draggier than e-wilds or even DHR/DHF. If you do side by side roll on's against the two you have to pedal with the DH22's to keep up. But going down the silly stuff, there's no comparison ! Like everything, it's a trade off. They're also pretty much indestructible, it's like having a bumper car on your bike - but with the weight, they're slow to accelerate.Do you find the DH22's hard work as well? I've got them on my Whyte (27.5"), and E-Wild's on my Cube (29"), and the DH22 are like peddling through custard in comparison. Same motor on both. I didn't think the massive difference would be just the wheel size, so the tyres are my guess.

Come to think of it, I think he's had it long enough for me to legitimately ask for it back now.

...and now you can ride past that rock 5 x in a row without incident. Goals!Taken 2 weeks ago at Onkaparinga Gorge near Adelaide South Australia
About 1/2 hour before "the incident" .... derailleur clipped a rock, snapped off and into the rear wheel - spokes pulled through rim etc - ouch
Lucky no damage to motor / battery
About a 3km hike out
All fixed now thanks to Will Ride
Expensive exercise and still kicking myself
Been bit a bit sheepish to post about it too
Back yesterday though on another beautiful Summer Day !

The term twat or twatted is a commonly used term in Geordieland ( North East England for the benefit of overseas members) ..however EMF said that he must have twated his shoulder ..which is probably a good twatting ( lite ) ..?
That apart hope both otb victims are starting to feel a little better ..although bruised / broken ribs are a complete twat to heal as apart from painkillers there is no medical help on offer ...
