Passportes de soleil Morzine - hiring battery??

Hi all,

I am planning to take part in the 2023 Passportes de soleil event on my Reign e+ and was wondering how easy it would be to hire a battery in Morzine. I am hoping to fly out and obviously can’t take my battery with me.
Google isn’t proving very helpful in locating somewhere that has Giant Energypaks for hire.

Has anyone flown to the French alps with an ebike successfully?

Last resort I will just take part in the race without a battery 😬

We did the 2022 event. It was a letdown

There's an incredible number of excellent trails in the Passportes region, the route this year avoided most of them. There was lots of fireroad and road descending, little of interest (apart from consistently stunning, fabulous views) and the food was merely okay (and you had to ignore the fact that it was all covered in flies). To make it worse, I'd dressed for bike park trails and was hot and uncomfortable all day.

We all agreed we would not do it again. The views though - to die for.

Thanks, will make sure that I dress for trail riding.
I’ve ridden PDS a few times before so hoping that the route takes in some parts I’ve yet to ride.
Did you ebike or traditional bike? I only have an ebike so will need to either hire a battery or drive.

I rode a normal bike. One of our group was on an eeeb, but we had a van to take all 9 bikes down. There was about 800 m of climbing IIRC?
