Hello all, we have 2x Gen 0 Carbon Rise in the house. They've not been ridden for a couple of months until today, but were ok last time we rode them. Went to ride today and one of them would not switch on, meaning my partner had to ride my 'spare' eBike (Turbo Levo) whilst my Rise was fine.
After the ride I dropped the motor on the faulty bike hoping to find a dodgy connection. No joy. Took the battery out and pressed the button on the LEDs and the first and last LED flashed. Looking at the manual, this is a 'permanent error code' which means the battery is now kaput...
As the batteries are expensive, I took my battery out and put it into my Partners Rise and it all started OK, so definitely a faulty battery. Battery also doesn't want to charge when out, which it should (again, checked with my 'good' battery - all ok).
Q: Is there any way we can recover/recondition/repair the faulty battery, or do we just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one (at £530!!)?
TIA, Richard and Emily.
