I have this shock recently mounted on a turbo levo gen3 carbon, the assembly seems to be correct, bushings, shaft, hardware etc greased and with the correct tightening torque.
Sometimes it makes this sound when starting to compress, It's sound similar to when you adjust the Compression or Rebound dials but louder.
I can't stop looking for the reason.
I think it's 99% the fault of the shock absorber.
The last complete inspection was in June 2023, the shock seems to work correctly.

I have the exact same shock fitted, just checked mine and it doesn't make that sound,
I take it when you try to move the shock by hand it's well secure??

Thanks for answering, I have checked all that, the shock is perfectly fitted, it has no lateral movement. The hardware is the same as that used in the previous shock. I've checked cables, linkage and swingarm bolts... nothing.
I think will have to go to the workshop.
