Due to what I've been calling medical excitement, I haven't ridden since early July. But I could work on the bike. I:
  • replaced all the suspension bearings
  • replaced all the wheel and freehub bearings
  • did the 200 mile service on the fork shock (it has a coil spring)
  • cleaned the brake pistons and changed the pads
  • put fresh gritty stuff on the seat rails
  • cleaned and adjusted the headset
  • and of course, the regular chain and derailleur clean and lube
So I was looking forward to having a quiet first ride, the first time in just about forever that there would be no unhappy noises (I hoped!).

But as I got close to the top of my climb, I noticed a rhythmic wheezing sound. It got quieter and eventually stopped when I did.

So the bike is quiet, but the old rider needs some work!

Keep on trucking! I’ve had several medical excitements my last is a lights out problem. I’m still riding until it goes dark.
I love my Levo and love keeping her running 100%
