Just as I think my tubeless woes are over I spot this;

So that’s a new tyre needed. Fucksticks! ???

Try and plug it. I''ve had great luck repairing holes or gashes just like with tire plugs. The cheap bacon looking ones work great. Have not tried the dynaplug but read they work great too.

That will patch inside ok , use glue on the patch as well as the tyre and build up 3 layers of glue inside the tyre letting each one dry . May be worth popping into the car place and getting a heavier patch than your ave bike kit has . Or get the tyre shop to stick it on fit you

It seems to be holding pressure but the sealant was wet when I spotted it. I have no idea how it happened so recently unless the bloody dog bit it!

That's the downside to 3" tires, lots of space between the lugs and to keep the weight down, they keep the casings thin. I bet you can patch that on the inside as others have suggested. It's worth a go anyway

I have such punctures as well, but the sealant did it's job on mine. If it's too big, use plugs or a patch on the inside. Both works fine. We once fixed a sliced tyre (that was a 5cm slice) with superglue. Always good to have a micro-tube in the bag.

17 miles round the FoD today and the sealant held. Putting it in the boot of the car was a different story; I was just about to drive off when I heard a hissing sound! It had resealed by the time I got home but hopefully the Minion DHR2 I ordered from Tredz will arrive before next weekend so it will be a non-issue.

I hope the interior of your car survived, the latex based sealants can make a nasty mess of clothes when they spray out on a big puncture.

It was fine, there's no evidence of sealant on the outside but the split isn't leaking any more.
