Not Charging Through Port

Hi everyone, just got a Haibike Hardseven 2.5 with the Yamaha Motor etc, first proper charge today won't work through the port so I've removed the battery and it charges fine thankfully.
Anyone else had this and is it an easy fix the dealer I got it from is miles away though :-(
