I want to have a go at night riding. Will probably be around winlatter loops. Can anyone recommend a light that won't break my piggy bank. Thinking no more than £100.

Hi sorry, was just going to add to my orig post, I am trolling through loads of previous threads for advice as well.

Early research, liking the Lifeline Pavo Motion 2400 lums, anybody have one. Research also points towards a helmet light as well as bar, so you can see when you turn your head off the track, now looking at a light weight ish ones.

So looking like a cree Capsule Mountain Bike Helmet Light, which has 30 day return and a Lifeline Pavo Motion 2400, if I can find one in stock.

For a cheap light you can't go wrong with the Solarstorm x2 (~£15 on ebay). They have a separate battery that you'll need to mount somewhere. Good spread and very bright.

I don't like having a separate battery so for the helmet light I use an exposure diablo, not cheap though!

I bought an exposure diablo mk12, Didnt think much off it and sold it on within 2 days. There are Moon xpower 1800 on ebay for £99 now which are really good for the bike and found it much brighter the the diablo. still looking for a very good spotlight for the helmet. but at the moment im using a cheap Lidl one , Just because they cost a lot doesnt mean they're any better than the cheaper ones
