I think the issue is with my crank arms might need to change the type of grease as iv just use multipurpose grease on the splines might try copper grease

So here’s an update on my bike as of today

so after the concerns of my bike possibly having a bad motor I sent it for a service around October last year which the report was good bike was fine had new chain ring cassette and chain fitted along with rear pads now on the 20/11/2021
just after my bike got a service myfree hub crapped its self on the way to work (my thoughts are the screeching noise I could hear could of been my free hub bearings failing

So I contact the specialized bike dealer I use and I had three options

1. wait 5 month for a shimano free hub to be sent out under warranty (for free)

2. Or take my rear wheel to the specialized bike dealer and have a hope hub fitted into my rim (hope hub paid for via shimano) (all free)

3. Or specialized agreed to pay for half a rear hope fortus 30 wheel and for me to pay the other half which was £140

so I picked option 3 for a full hope fortus 30 rear wheel due to my bike being new to me I have also bought the front wheel for £170 and two red hope floating rotors because I want my bike to match front and rear

I’m also treating her (my bike) too two new tyres. And hope tech m4 brake set in red and black to match the theme

will post photos once all the bits arrive

Quick update just ordered my tyres change of plan
Maxxis minion DHF ii double down 2.5 rear
And
Maxxis minion DHR EXO 2.3 front
Cool , I’ve gone for a 2.35 on the back and a 2.6 up front ( Vittoria ebike martellos ) they are very fast rolling and pretty good all year around tyre , how come you went for those widths , did you have a recommendation, I’ve heard 2.4 is the best width choice ,

I had recommendations off my dealer I gave them a list of tyres and asked what would be best and they said that these two would work well togeather for the type of riding I do

I don’t think the hub is that loud I have heard louder
You can make them louder , they pack them with grease from factory , also the pawls and springs do take a beating from a heavier ebike and you will have to change them , they are very cheap to replace , you’ll know they’ve worn as the hub will will go considerably quiet or silent
