Newbie from Redditch

Hi all found this site after watching Robs fantastic YouTube channel. Getting into Emtb after road cycling for nearly 15 years. Looking at buying a Focus Sam2, if I can get hold of one. Anyone have one, if so would you recommend buying one.

I’m Redditch too, where do you ride? Never found much locally and FoD or Cannock are a trek

I agree FOD and Cannock is a long drive. I ride in Wirehill woods mainly, some good loops and jumps.

I’ve never really explored Redditch beyond the lake, will have to have a look. I’ll still go to FoD and Cannock when I can though.
Be good to find other locals who ride too.

I ride a Cube Stereo Hybrid 140, just upgraded from Hardtail so not too used to riding FS yet lol.

Usually ride with my dad who’s in his 70s, so I’m used to waiting on trails lol. Meeting up sounds good.

Hi mate I have one. The 6.8 version, it was my first ebike also and the power from the motor certainly takes getting used to, the bike is a monster truck going up and down technical routes, it does feel bulky on tight twisty off piste routes but I’m a light rider so admittedly could probably do with a bit more time in the gym I’m really enjoying it though but did have issues with the rear hub needing cleaning out and re lubing after a few rides as the seals aren’t great so something to be aware of all be it no big issue, also they don’t talk very favourably about the headset bearings and the integrated cables meaning you must take everything out if you want to change the headset but I’ve only done just under 100 miles so far, all bike park miles though so it’s had a good work out

I’d assumed you were closer to FoD than that from your knowledge of the place lol.

I’m nowhere near Redditch now but know the area well as I’m originally from Droitwich, surely the Lickey Hills and Clent Hills have plenty of trails to ride ?
