Launches any day now !
Basically the same motor as the current Brose s-mag (which is a huge risk for Sram imho) with
Sram software ,auto shift with axs transmission and a 720wh battery !
*Also a new Ekano by Propain

I was a bit disappointed when I seen that it was another Brose motor. I personally prefer the Bosch motors but was willing to give a SRAM motor a try but now I'll pass. And auto shifting🤦‍♂️ e-bikes have already made the sport easy enough for us, now we don't even have to switch gears! Useless tech if you ask me.

I tend to agree. Do riders really need more gadgets on their ebikes?

What is Sram's value proposition here? Improved motor/drivetrain integration? Adding more complex, prone to failure electronics to our already sophisticated eMTBs? Where is this going?

i just can't wait to see generative AI software making gear shifting decisions on my behalf!

The reviewers are talking this motor and autoshift up while at the same time poo pooing the Pinion MGU. I smell a rat

From Pinkbike article:

- the motor hardware is manufactured by Brose, and then SRAM handles the software
- there wasn't any way to turn the assistance completely off from the remote.
- but the fact that there's currently no 200mm Reverb AXS dropper post means riders who want a longer travel dropper will be forced into an awkward cockpit configuration, where two under-the-bar remotes will be fighting for space.

Why would I buy a Brose powered bike that SRAM has managed to do worse than Specialized? That's what it initially looks like based on reviews. Not that I'm currently looking for any specific bike or motor but it's a "No thanks" for me.
