Good morning every, I just purchased my first ebike, a 2022 Rail 9.8 and have just began prepping the bike for its first ride.

I am curious as to owners experience positioning the Bosch controller on the bars and routing the wire. Any suggestions and experiences would be highly appreciated, pictures would be even better.

I’m very excited to get this bike out on the trail and looking forward to being a part of this community.

Thanks I’m advance!

I installed the Kiosk and controller a few years ago(2020 Rail 9.7). During an upgraded bar install I tightened the Kiox bar clamp too much and slightly fractured the area which holds the clamp nut. I made it work anyways. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I had a crash and completely snapped the Kiox clamp. Electrical tape helped as a quick fix until a new one arrives.
I believe that the controller was positioned improperly (too high) which made the controller the highest item mounted on my bar. Anything mounted on my bar (brake levers, dropper controller etc, can now spin or rotate with some force from one hand. The Kiox controller has a rubber insert which makes it “more” fixed which is why I make sure the highest point of the Kiox is below bar-hight …if possible.

Yours may be the new style but a slight adjustment in the position may help.

No problem. Another tip, which you may already know, is to tether your Kiox to the magnetic holder. A crash or a limb could knock the Kiox off. If you have the Kiox computer display it could become an expensive lesson if it’s accidentally knocked off. Ask how I know.

Supply issues …pfff. Ordered this new Kiox controller 7 days ago and here it is. I take back everything bad I said about Trek …
Wait a sec, it’s been 7 months since I ordered the AXS Reverb. They keep saying 2 more weeks. 😬
