Hey guys. New here. Bought a Trek Rail 7 yesterday and took it for a ride and so far it’s pretty awesome.
New to mountain biking. I have a background in road cycling and racing. I was planning on getting a traditional trail/enduro mtb but really difficult to find right now.
I had been casually looking at emtbs but hadn’t been considering one too seriously. Was at the dealer yesterday trying to get a Santa Cruz Tallboy and they had the rail 7 out in my size. They had gotten it the day before.
Took it out to mess around and thought it was really cool. Grew up on dirt bikes and riding motocross so the 50lb weight of the bike didn’t feel cumbersome to me at all. So I bought it and took it for a ride yesterday and had a blast.
I have a lot of trails close to me. In fact my area is trying to claim being the mountain bike capital of the world now. Anyway, I’m a big forum guy so I’m sure I’ll be around asking about upgrades and stuff.
