New Bosch Purion Display.

Hi Forum members from a new member. I recently purchased a new Bosch Purion Display to replace my crash damaged item. when i opened the box i was suprised to see that the didplay did not turn on when the on/off button was pressed. Battery's are intact so wondering if this is normal or does it need to be plugged into the motor before it comes alive. Anyone got one that isn't connected to the motor that could check it out. it wont turn on unless it is connected to the motor

Many thanks for that. I didn't want. to drop the motor and then find it was faulty
