Before I purchased my e-bike, I always figured the 25kph limit was okay and couldn't work out why folks moaned about it. Here in NZ, we are fortunate to get the North American models so our cut-off is 20mph. We also get the speed pedelecs at 29mph. Having ridden nearly 4000km now, the 20mph limit is perfect and I fully understand that 25kph would suck balls. E-bikes are fast becoming top sellers here in Dunedin simply because of our steep, hilly terrain. I have to climb 300 metres over two hills to get home from town at sea level. I've never seen so many people on bikes here before the advent of the e-bike (apart from roadies).First ride with speed box 3 fitted great bit of kit no problems at all
Any more details on what this adjustment is. I tried lookig for instructions on what the Trek dealer actually does when trying to solve the battery disconnecting but I've found nothing.Pretty much had the same issue when the bike was brand spanking new. Just a matter of adjustment and it goes away.
