Hi people right with 4 kids and a new house I can't afford a new bike this year so I'm off to bike park Wales in June my trance 3 came with tektro brakes and suntour aion fork both better than I thought but I've fitted slx levers and now thinking to go zee or Saint for more power ? And the fork feels a bit spindly now and then on rough trails or drop offs there seems to be some great deals on domain RC forks any ideas I'd like Zeb but again more money oh and any people running one up 210mm dropper ? I know punctuation but I'm on my phone lol

Do you have the newest SLX levers? If you do, keep the levers and just get some Magura MT5 calipers. I've ridden Saints, XT's, own a set of 4-piston XTR's, also ridden Sram Code R's, Guide RE's and Code RSC's.

None of them feel as good or have as much power as my XTR levers with Magura MT5 calipers.

Hi yeah they are the new ones with I spec ev mount, I'm already running tektro caliper with the Shimano lever so no reason not to run shigura ?

The Tektro caliper won't even come close to the power you'd have from a Shigura setup, like I said I've ridden Saints. The Shigura setup has more power than those, and would be cheaper to get.

Deores would be more than enough. I also went from Tektros and the difference it night and day.

You can spend more on Shimano or SRAM or Magura or Hopes or whatever, but it will be diminishing returns, IMO.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "more than enough" is, my XTR's are more powerful than 4-Piston Deore and it wasn't enough....lol
But I ride mostly black and double black steep and technical trails. So it's all relative I guess depending on what your needs for stopping power are.

Sorry but the diminishing returns argument doesn't really hold up. There's no chance I'm going to ride a 1000 meter decent and expect Deore brakes to not fade and actually be able to stop me.

I installed a 150mm v2 OneUp dropper on my hard tail. It’s a very good dropper. Smooth function, adjustable via shims, low stack height is fantastic and it’s super easy to fit. I prefer it over the Crank Bros High Line dropper that came with my Whyte e-150rs

Hi, I do have the SLX system installed. I want to install Magura MT5 callipers only. Is this possible? VIdeos showed the other way: full Magura system, and replacing the lever. TIA
