New bike day! Ordered this from Utah last October, so has been a long time coming.

Bike is an Ari Explorer Peak Elite. Carbon hardtail e Fat bike with an ep801 motor and a 720wh battery. (with some surly clown shoes I had laying around, thrown on, as I was curious to see if they fitted) Rode round the stunning spurn point in east Yorkshire. Bike was sublime. Weather was half decent too!

I find it interesting sometimes to see if I can locate where the pics on here are taken via Google Earth and looking at the area of this one I would say you have plenty of beach front to explore on your new bike! I would imagine though that in the winter it can be pretty brutal there though? I live on the west edge of Oregon and the Pacific can get pretty raucous on occasion too. We have relatively short stretches of beach but I have ridden most of them. Enjoy your new bike!

It was a winter storm that finally washed the old military road away in 2013. The narrowest section of the point is shown in the last picture, the North Sea is on the far left of the image, and on the right, the water of the Humber estuary, with not much else but soft sand (and a little grass) in the middle to ride down. Need to keep an eye out for the high spring tides, or you can briefly find yourself on an island. It's an unique and amazing experience riding a fat bike here.

How are you liking it? Did you get it specc'd with the Mastodon fork - or was that an additional purchase? I am considering this bike as well.

It's my first ebike. Very much enjoying riding it! I've had it for just over two months now, and put around 400miles on it. When I've not been beach riding I've been using it as a 29er plus bike. (29" x 3.0") (see pictures below) My longest ride so far with the 720Wh battery has been 41 miles.

I have the elite spec in large, arrived with carbon forks. I had some gen3 Mastodon forks set to 120mm already to go on, which added around 50mm to the stack height over the stock carbon forks (this is uncompressed).

The only real negative I've had, although loving the gear "spread" provided by the Axs transmission I did add a 34 tooth front sprocket, as it was a bit spinney on faster trails. I wouldn't recommend it as the offset chainring spider flexes massively and I ended up with a marked (0.5 mm deep) gouge in the chain stay.

The TRP brakes were a pleasant surprise though. I genuinely thought they would be the first thing I would upgrade, as all the reviews and forum mentions about them have been very lukewarm, but they have been excellent, very much like a set of shimano saints in feel and power.

Apart from the forks and multiple wheelsets the only other upgrade has been a one up carbon ebar, and ergon ga3's to ease my old decrepit wrists.

This looks like my N+1, I am now going to do some googling!

Looks great! Might be worth a velcro strap around the down tube/battery cover to stop it pinging off one day?
I modified a BBB downtube fatfender with two long velcro straps, it reduces the spray from the front and secures the battery cover.
You can see it here;

Some very thoughtful little mods you've done there. Definitely given me some ideas!

Is there any groups for UK riders,
I think this (the emtb forums) is probably it :)
do you know of anyone who might be wanting to move one on?
Ari explorer peak has been on the market for just 2 months now, so I doubt if there are that many on the S/H market especially in the U.K.

A "proper" trailable efatbike (as opposed to the amazon/ebay efatbike shaped things that your Deliveroo guy rides) are something of a rarity on the UK market. Jackware's Samedi 26 Fat 4 being a notable exception. There is a UK fatbike market place over on Facebook, but I rarely see any efatbikes for sale on there. (apart from the odd chinesuim thingy)

That's why I bit the bullet and ponied up the large shipping/import/tax bill and just got the bike I wanted. I think Ari are selling the the comp explorer peak for 3,999 USD as of now.
Expect to pay another £1700+ getting over the the UK with the aforementioned shipping/imports/taxes.

It's a fun bike to ride, and of all the efatbikes on the global market it's the one I wanted, but I never said it was a sound financial decision :)

Mine was a special order from the E-Bikeshop, but Haibike fatbikes occasionally appear on eBay and @Bobbobby has a great YT channel showing his various explorations on his Frankenstein Fatbike and his latest Haibike.

Well since deciding that its what looked like a sound financial decision, I started to look around, have emailed Ari and confirmed that they are happy to ship to the UK etc (didn't factor in the import taxes). I also did a little look around for other companies making similar, there is like you say nothing other than crap Amazon BSO's available. I did start to look at something like an Icann/Dengfu and build one up, but that definitely isn't cost-effective, nor does it come with any warranty meaningful.
