New 2023 Orbea Wild broken spin block spacer

Hi all,
I got a good price on the Orbea Wild H20 and after the second ride the plastic headset spacer the cables run through broke in 3 pieces, picture attached. Luckily I found all the broken pieces and the split metal spacers on the trail. Got home reinstalled the metal spacers without the plastic spacer, and decided to try riding without the broken plastic spacer. Everything seemed fine until one side of the split metal spacers fell off ( see attached pictures) on the trail, but I did find them again.
It was an online purchase so I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of a warranty claim for this plastic piece. This is why I tried to run the bike without the plastic spacer.
Question: Should I continue to try to run the bike with out the plastic spacer, and if so what did I do wrong that the half of the metal spacers fell out?
As always any help is very appreciated.

My recommendation would be as follows:

1. Discontinue riding the bike until the broken spinblock headset sic collector is replaced since the headset spacers will continue to fall off during your rides and you may end up losing a spacer and not finding it.

2. Take your bike to a local Orbea dealer and have them replace the broken sic collector under warranty to both save money and the hassle of having to re-route the dropper post cable through the new sic collector as the dealer will perform the install work the under warranty.

Whether you choose to take the bike to a local Orbea dealer and have them replace the broken part under warranty or whether you spend $40 to order the part from Orbea is up to you. Should you decide to order the replacement part and do the work yourself, you can order part directly from Orbea Spare Parts.
