New 2018 FSR

Hi Guys
Really excited i finally got my e bike pick it up tomorrow - Its new but a 2018 model, i have the control on the side, nothing on the cross bar or handle bars - just wanted to know system you use so as you have the ability to change modes on the handlebars?

You can get a Garmin eBike controller. It’s for lights but works for the Levo

Had one on my 2017 Levo. It’s not perfect but it works..

If there is no control on the left side on the handlebar then it is not a 2018 model but a 2017. 2017 came with the less powerful 1.2 motor.

You can check via Mission Control what engine is installed.

If the serial number starts with C911 it is a Drive T 1.2 motor.

If it starts with C972 it is a Drive S 1.3 motor.

I do not know of any 2018 Levo’s that have been sold without the remote mode changer so I suspect you have a 2017 Levo with a 1.2 Drive T engine

I agree I think it’s a 2017 - is it possible to tell what motor I have by the the pictures from my mission control. I really would like to retro fit the specialized remote if possible. I’ve seen a couple of YouTube videos with guys doing it but I also read that not all models can be adapted?

I have no experience with this mod but the German weblog says the following:

Thanks for the reply’s guys - I have been told by the shop that my 2017 motor will except the genuine remote switch - I plan to get one and retro fit it myself - anyone done this?
Also I guess I just order the reomote from my local spesh shop but they want £72!!!

Not sure all 2017's are compatible - more info here, may require some bodging, or to get shop to do it for you.

I believe you can yes. However, you’ll have to drill a hole in the frame and that will invalidate the lifetime warranty on the frame.
