Hi,
Strange.
I have the colored display on My Neuron:ON 6.0.
I ordered it some weeks before Christmas. I got it at the begining of January.
Yeah, I've noticed some reviews have the E8000 display yet the CS and the specs say it's the E7000 display. Maybe it depends on which country you are in.

Don't know. Either way. I think Canyon should have the same display for everyone buying the same bike. Or be very clear if they sidestep the normal E8000 configuration.

As a matter of interest which colour bike did you choose because all the colour displays I've seen have been on the blue bike.

I have same problem with what I now know is E7000 head unit. The Shimano steps manual has instructions for pairing with the E8000 head unit which is not what is on my bike! No wonder there is confusion.
Realised from reading this thread you have to turn lights on on the display menu for the USB port to charge your garmin.
Does this mean the E7000 does not support ANT+?
And thanks for the Halfords light tip, I remember how much a 600 lumen light cost in 2005 well over £250!

My Spectral 7 has the E7000 screen and controller too, just asking them about it as it says E8000 on the website. It connects fine via Bluetooth

E7000 computer - does connect to Bluetooth but unlike the E8000 you don’t have a Bluetooth pairing option via the menu.
To pair use the e-tube app downloaded to your phone or tablet. Open the app ensuring Bluetooth is enabled on your phone/iPad etc. Turn the steps battery on and follow instructions on the app for pairing, the bike is discoverable without doing anything else.
You will need to do something with a passcode which Shimano set to 000000 initially, the e-tube app asks for the code. Or go the the e7000 manual online from Shimano website and follow those instructions.
This is what the guy at Canyon service centre showed me when I got my bike back on Thursday.

Unfortunately it says the 7 comes with e7000 controller and display ?‍♂️ And the 8 comes with e7000 controller and e8000 display
