Hi all,
Looking for help please.
I have an ICAN E11 eBike with a Bafang M600 motor kit which just won't work.
ICAN supplied the frame, and a Chinese Bafang dealer supplied the motor and battery and wiring kit, and neither are being at all useful.
Who is a guru on Bafang bikes in England? (I'll travel to get this sorted!)
Please send recommendations as to who will get my bike sorted 🙏🏼
I've built *many* analogue bikes, but this has me stumped.
Thanks in advance all.

Maybe we should start with the symptoms? What exactly happening if anything at all? Have you measured voltage on the battery? Also when attaching the charger the battery should be bypassed. So this is a good method to rule out the battery

Thanks all.
Long story ahead....
So far...
Battery seemingly working fine, and fully charged.
Controller working initially, but no action from the motor despite checking connections.
Changed to a brand new controller panel, and then was getting nothing from the remote or display screen. So confused!
So, got the voltage meter out, and confirmed there's power from the battery to the controller as it should be. Couldn't then check the power from the battery to the remote, but it was working fine before.
I'm mechanically very competent, but electronics and ebikes are a challenge to me so far.
Spent a lot on this so far (nearly as much as a new branded bike :( ) so just keen to take to someone in the know, spend a little more, and start enjoying it.
Any help appreciated.
@Waynemarlow are you able to help, happy to travel and leave it with you 🙏🏼

Hope you will find help with @Waynemarlow

according symptoms, usual case here is that you dont fit connectors properly. Bafang is famous for fact, that connector must be really inserted fully, not half-fully. I recomend to:

1) disconnect battery
2) spray a bit of contact electronic spray into each connector. Not a lot, just a bit. If you dont have, use 99% isopropanol. not a lot!
3) check connector orientation and insert it fully using pliers (I use Knipex). Using just fingers is usually making this issues.
Connector must be really inserted hard and fully!!!
4) connect battery, press power button (master switch) and then power on display (5 seconds). HMI will light up.

What happened that before controller was working and now is not? HMI was on anytime? Are connectors OK? green on green, yellow on yellow, orientation atc...

If above is fully checked and still not luck, then find somebody with Bafang BEST tool and you can check wire it up and check using CAN bus. Controller and HMI should be visible, battery is not usually visible. If not, then you can have issues with fried controller or just invalid fw.

PS: Usual case is not properly inserted connectors on motor or on HMI.

Thanks for making the time to reply so comprehensively. I think I've been pretty good with checking the connections, but I have nothing to lose! 🤞🏼

Sadly my M600 motor went from the get go and I’ve not needed to learn too much about them. However we can connect my battery etc to eliminate most things, PM me and we can discuss about a meet up.
