Hi Folks! I recieved my greatly anticipated Kona Remote Ctrl 2019 today. I can't wait to get out onto it, when everything is sorted! Will post to a mechanics lounge or similar with those issues though. For now, it's great to be a part of the 'born again' community of ebikers! Anyone else from Mid Wales, UK?

Happy riding all

Jon the Super Safe (now electro) Lumberjack.

My ebike is a Focus Sam2 but would have tested the remote ctrl if it had been available at the time

Will keep you and the forum informed! Ive read that its got a lot of the same geo and ride characteristics which is pretty cool. Out of the box, it is incredibly long and low which is great. I reckon it will be very stable. It's a heavy beast though so not looking forward to hiking it over gates and stiles...

Took the remote ctrl to Nant y Arian on the weekend, and since your post, have also been taking it on my local trails. What a blast. I don't know what the Process rides like, but I can say that compared to my cannondale trigger, it is far more stable and less twitchy, however still able to flow through corners and take multiple drops in quick succession nicely. I think the added weight helps because it is less likely to react to roots and small bumps (it just ploughs through them). I still find it tricky to get the front end in the air without a jump but that may be because I am getting used to the weight still. Climbing doesnt seem too bad on it either, I need to work on my technique over the rough and steep but overall, it's great.

The funniest thing has been going back to my cannondale when my friend who was borrowing it on the weekend found the hills too much for him. It feels so tiny, like a circus monkey bike. I can't believe I used to ride it, the geometry is so upright- then again it is a trail bike, and too small for me at that.
