Today's ride was something I've been wanting to do for a long time but the previous bike did not have the range....
So today Crafty and I went to Jacobs ladder and stuff

loved it. Took it quite cautiously being my first time ( nearly had an off right at the beginning lol ) and found it quite heavy going on my knees.

Some great tracks and views along the way but mainly too busy riding to stop for pics lol

But always time for the bike shot

Has anyone transitioned from a Hardtail over to full suspension and found it had a painful impact on the knees ? I never had issues with my knees before now ! It's the point just above the knee cap

on both legs.

Different Crank length ?
The last bike had 170's and I replaced it with 155's as I was prone to the strike. So the crafty will probably be more than 155 but will have to check. It's probably just a coincidence and will be a result of something else.... My ageing body seems to be breaking at a rate I can't keep up with lol.

I’ve never had that particular bit hurt. Is the saddle height correct when pedalling seated?

I'm set up pretty much the same as on my other bike so not sure it's saddle position or height. Good points though

Your saddle may be too low or too far forward. Those are two things that are fairly easy to change and/or test first.
Thought this too. Use a tape measure and measure your old bike and new bike saddle distance from top of saddle to top of pedal when at lowest point. If they're not the same you're using a different muscle group to before. The fix is obvious.

Nice little return to the Hell track. I think I could push this more without a slipped disc as it was definitely easier on a full sus.
Need to swap over my magura brakes at some point as the codes are nowhere near as good and really struggle at times with them.

Ahhhhhh!! Weather is shit, Health is shit, I'm stuck in limbo chomping at the bit to get out and ride anywhere
Time to pull out the rain gear. Wore pants today …first time in 5 months.
Can’t complain about the MT7’s but they do need mini/lever/master cylinder bleeds often. (10mins).

Fewer gates in the vid but I didn’t mind the music 👍🏻

How's this working out ?

Does it give you live info ?

I can't help but think if I had it, it would say things like "Have you considered another sport" "Which way is home" "Maybe today is a good day for a beer instead"
Pmsl . I've not really checked if it gives live info, I turned it on once and then looked at info after the ride which had the usual tracking stuff but also has the travel info of your suspension etc.. like how much travel was used and jump stuff ! Probably much more info available for those that can be arsed and are more savvy with it lol. I keep thinking of giving it another try but then I remember it's batteries have died and then I forget about it again.
