Hey guys Took my obea rise around my local Trail Centre Centre which is pretty flat And noticed when peddling on the flats the motor gets up to it’s restricted speed and then the paddling gets harder,My old trek remedy 8 was way faster on these segments .
shame there isn’t a way to Derestrict the speed limiter so the bike goes faster on these flatter surfaces .
anybody else find this annoying?

Had the same experience with the first week on my Rise as well. Thing is it is a light emtb and you soon reach that limit if you like to put the effort in on flat fast sections. Check out the naughty section of the forum and you will soon find out how ?. Personally I found just keeping everything the same but changing to the American setting of 20mph much better and felt more like a traditional bike on the flats. You will still reach it, but it's a better compromise.

2nd ride on my Rise now and I am loving it. Not noticed the speed limiter as there isn't any noticeable drag when you reach the limiter. You can pedal this thing on the flat without any issues. If you want to retain the legal firmware and UK spec, try changing the wheel circumference to get a bit more speed. Depending on how accurate it is set at you may find it is over-estimating anyway and cutting out early...
