Hi, I am new to emtbs and have just purchased a stereo hybrid 160 sl, needing some advice on the fact that my motor dosent cut power until I reach an indicated 16.8mph, Im led to believe it should be 15.6mph, any ideas ?
Ok, I have a garmin gps on my other bike, I will see what that reads, thanks.Have you measured the speed of the bike with an independent app / watch? Most ebikes over estimate there speeds but when measured using a smart watch or strava you will see your going slower than reported.
For example on my bike 25kmh on the display corresponds to 24kmh on my watch. Every speed is off by about +1kmh
Going to check it today using various methods to compare. My wheel circumference was set 10cm too large and it made the speedometer over read. But that would generally reduce the cutoff speed while the bike speedometer still read 15.5mph
For the speedometer to read 16.7 it's either cutting off at too high a speed or the "speed +/-" setting has been altered in the bike's settings.
Which alters the readout but not the actual speed of the bike !!
As above check with a GPS, or compare a ride on Strava with the distance that the bike claims you've ridden.
lf the bike is doing a genuine 16.7mph then l would say you are lucky and have good a good one

Thanks, what is stunlocker...?You can adjust the display to read the correct speed if you want, there's a setting in the menu.
lt's good that you are getting the full 15.5mph according to your phone GPS.
My Kona with the Shimano E8000 was cutting the assistance at 14.7mph likewise my friend's Cube with the Bosch motor.
He's not bothered about it but l got mine to 15.5 mph by adjusting the wheel circumference to the correct value using Stunlocker.
Haha lucky youMy assistance cuts off at around 19.5 mph as my bike thinks it's in the USA
