Has anyone heard any information on the first drop of 2022 Mondrakers recently?

Initially I was told by a trusted dealer that they would be receiving their first allocation of bikes in November with another drop in Feb'22 and then again April'22. I spoke to a different dealer today who told me their expected first drop due in November likely won't arrive until Feb/March'22 now.

I was hoping to get a Level RR this side of Christmas but if it's not going to happen I think I'll just buy a Sam2 6.9 instead.

Interested if any of you have heard any updates over the last week or so? Trying to understand if all deliveries to the UK will get pushed to 2022 or if some dealers will be luckier than others based on their relationship / spend history with Mondraker. As expected Mondraker won't tell me anything directly.

MTB monster UK are still quoting mid November for my crafty RR and I reserved it on the day they were released. however I’m just about to pull the plug on that order so there will be one more in the pot for someone the level RR is not readily available in the UK and they are due next year I believe

The Non removable battery, just not willing to live with that and is a huge design shortfall by mondraker to be honest. Just about to get cold here now and to have a lithium battery storing and charging in the cold just isn’t any good for them. Shame though, great looking bikes.

Yes agreed I would prefer a removable battery, but for me it would only be easier to charge while on over nighters.
I have a Trek Rail at the moment and think I've only had to take the battery out a handful of times in the last 18 months.
Hope my Mondy comes in November!

Mondraker "forward geometry" is significantly different than everyone else. You can't compare reach numbers to other brands, it won't make sense. They run a 30mm stem for a reason (they actually wanted to run shorter but found "the market" rejected it).

Is that a good thing. About to put a deposit down on an RR but I'm not sure if I'm an L or an XL. I'm 188cm, sucks that you can't try bikes at the moment and my dealer is only getting one of each in so I have to make a call. I'm leaning towards the XL

I like it a lot. The first time I rode a Foxy in a parking lot I was *shocked* at how good it felt. So stable. The Crafty is not quite as stable feeling I think because of the battery (the center of gravity is quite a bit higher on an ebike) but it still feels really good. So far I have found no downsides. Despite the long wheelsbase I'm still riding the same trails and turns without issue (as compared to a Large 2019 Levo) and it's much more stable at speed. It also feels super comfortable on jumps (nothing major, it just feels really good when landing).

The seat angle is too steep, but there's really no way to get away from that in today's market. My knees start to hurt on longer rides and there's too much weight placed on the front end when riding flat, my arms get sore. But this is the same on any bike these days, not specific to Mondraker.

I don't mind the non removable battery. Why would I need to take it off? If something happens then I'll bring it to the lbs and they can fix it. The level r is my favorite mondraker.

So you don’t have to store and charge in sub zero temps mainly. Lithium batteries don’t do well in those conditions and charging will degrade or damage the cells. Ok if you store in the house or heated garage.

Additionally, I would love to be able to pop in a 500wh battery for short rides and save the 750 for longer ones. In fact I've been toying with the idea of switching to a 500wh bike (full power though, not an SL or the like) and carrying an extra 500wh when needed. 500's are small enough to carry fairly conveniently (the 700+ are not). But I'm a weight weenie so I know I'm in a small niche

I had a deposit on the crafty RR, but had to abort , be interested in your ride impression, especially compared to the Levo.

My local shop Freeborn have started to have deliveries of Craftys. They send me through emails each time they get a new delivery. I'm waiting for a Level R though! I have pasted the bikes they emailed me about yesterday. Hopefully its helpful:

Really like the look and spec of the new RR carbon 22 model, deciding between this and the new 22 Rail 9.8XT. Any known issues or anything to take into account apart from the battery being fixed ? Im 6’1 so was thinking large would be the one as i want it to be fun and throwable still …….

I just picked up this very bike at the weekend, absolutely stunning machine You wouldn’t believe how much swatting up i did on all bikes, even those not out yet, but the mondraker just kept catching my eye lol. Apart from the one downside you mention, which is manageable imo. the only negative I found (which seems to be throughout the range) is poor brake choice by going with SRAM. For this money they should be better.
I haven’t had time to really test the bike yet but I’ll try changing pads to galfer and replacing discs for some hope tech I have spare as this is supposed to improve things. anyway the new Bosch system 3 is amazing, really quiet and controlled, and the bike itself oozes quality from a top EMTB brand. I’m 5’11 and medium for me is perfect, large should be fine for you

Who really cares about a removable battery carnt say I’ve ever had a reason to remove it I look at it like this less chance of water ingress I’m well impressed with mine it definitely best bike I’ve owned to date as for the brakes I just swapped out the discs and they feel

Super keen to hear your ride thoughts on the trails …. The only negative ive heard is the back end can feel a little stiff / harsh. I want a playful plush feeling, also need to find one in stock in large in the uk !

I do. It's not allowed to charge ebike in our house's bike storage. AND my bike is parked outside 8 hours while i'm working. Sometimes it's -25celsius.
It's stupid to make ebike with nonremovable battery, in my opinion.

Admittedly a non removable battery doesn’t suit everyone, but it does help avoid rattling, waterproofing and keeping weight down etc. lithium doesn’t mind being stored on the cold, just not charged in the cold. So this would be an issue in your situation.

And you shouldn't discharge it in the cold=ride it if it's been day out at the cold. Riding means discharging.
Anyway, Mondraker is very good looking bike. And i assume that handles very good.

This is incorrect, lithium batteries are widely used in sub zero temps without damage or degradation. Yes you will experience faster depletion but no lasting damage. Only recharging in sub zero temps is to be avoided to reduce the risk of permanent damage

Are they / do they really ride as long as people say ? My ideal reach is 475 and ive just come off a large Bullit which i loved so is a large right in the Mondy ? Im 6 foot or could i get away with a medium …..

Also its between the Alu crafty XR or Carbon RR …?

How does it handle compared with the megawatt ? I had an Elite and really liked it but hated the ep8, i did however like the short back end for hops and general shredding about. Really want one of these just only concern being it possibly being a bit long and not as much fun ?

I just swapped my disks out for hopes but they are just catching on the SRAM mounts unfortunately. I’m thinking of filing a bit off the mount and retouching
