anyone running the Megneg on the Deluxe that comes on the 2020 Levo Comp? Shock is ok but I want a bit more support in the midstroke and the reviews seem to indicate that the Megneg does the trick.

Also anyone having a wee bit of an issue with the rebound damping, my rebound damping is wide open (as fast as it can be). I'm fairly light at 150lbs so mibbe I'm at the edge of the tune of the shock. Dunno though any other lightish riders having bother with rebound?

Was just about to ask the same question!
Keen to know if anyone has done some testing with a Megneg vs the standard air can on a Levo.

People have put it on the Specialized SJ Evo and have been really pleased.
I think Levo has same very linear suspension curve than Evo. Megneg makes middle and bottom curve better.

Hi again,

I have my answer abou the Megneg.
Before changing my RS deluxe with something more premium, I purchased at a very fair price a MegNeg upgrade kit.
Plenty of clearence on the frame.
First impressions: Much better, smooth and suportive, no bottom out.
But I need a lot more air: 270 Psi (with the standard air can: 190 Psi).

I removed one spacer (I kept the 3.5 blue spacer), and put 2 volume-reducing bands .

I want to try with 3 Volume-reducing bands, and hope it will reduce the air pressure on the shock.

Keep us informed, sounds good but I am a heavy guy and already use 220 in my stock can so unless you can get it to run with less I might not be able to use it

I have one on my bike, Had to pump the shot to about 305psi. currently running 0positive spacers and 3 bands will try 4 over the weekend.

With 0 bands the rear would feel so nice on the small stuff but feel like I was jumping with a hard tail on landings the ramp up would be so great.... at the moment 3 bands seems to be good, have not managed to use all my travel. I do think it makes the show better...if you don't mind spending ages getting it up to 300psi

4 bands will lower the PSI and but also give me a larger neg volume than standard ...I might have to put the small pos spacer back in with 4 bands.

Just put one one my 2020 comp as was blowing thru all the travel way too easily running 30% sag and 230psi (I'm 90kg fully kitted) So far it's been great has heaps more support. Have to put 290psi in so only a touch more than 20% extra. Original shock had 1 gnar dog and 2 regular tokens (4.5 tokens total) so when installing megneg I took the 2 regular tokens out and installed 2 megneg bands. Felt a big improvement straight away that I was happy with so haven't done any further testing of more or less bands etc. For me definitely a worthwhile fairly cheap upgrade.

My set-up in pretty much identical to Jester's.... 90kg, 295 psi... 2.5 positive tokens, 2 bands.

I started off not taking any of the positive tokens out but I found it not using 20%+ of travel.

Removing the extra +ve token has helped but I'm still not using full travel.

In general though it's a noticeable, good upgrade. I ride mostly steep tech, pretty choppy non manicured trials. The rear is certainly more planted, skips around less, so better grip.

Now the trails and bikes are a lot less muddy I'll take some tools out one day and spend a while swapping up and down the band range to see how it performs. Pumping to 295 psi each time is a drag though!

do you have to use the tokens that the shock comes with originally or are all the tokens taken care of in the megneg kit?
