MY21 Specialized Turbo Levo Comp (full fat) size Medium comes stock with an X-Fusion Manic seatpost diameter 34.9mm with 150mm of travel. Looking to replace with SRAM RockShock Reverb™ AXS® wireless seatpost (SP-RVB-AXS-A1).

My question is: what is the maximum insertion depth for a medium sized Levo? Can I fit the RockShock 480mm (post length) with 170mm of travel? Or is my Medium Levo limited to the RockShock 440mm (post length) with 150mm of travel?

Stock setup is OKish though there is 50mm of seatpost rising out of the frame whereas I’d prefer it to be totally slammed to really get that seat out of the way for descents. So it stands to reason, if I got the Reverb with 170mm of travel, I could fit most of the post down inside the seat tube to minimize stack height.

I’m 5’9” (or 175.3) tall with a 32” inseam. 160lbs.

Manual only references minimums. I’m trying to measure, without removing my stock seatpost, the maximum insertion depth asking if I can slam a 480mm (170mm travel) to minimize stack height and lower my saddle more.

I've just been experimenting with the exact same scenario this week
I've got a Gen 2 Levo 2019 medium which I think is the same as the 21

I took out the standard Command seatpost and got busy with a tape measure
Here's what I found -
The Command post has 160mm drop
The collar is 30 mm
The shaft is 215 mm not inc the actuator
The actuator is 27mn long

The lowest I can insert the shaft before the dropper starts to mis-shft leaves 20mm of the staff exposed between the top of seatpost collar clamp and the underneath of the dropper collar
Which leaves 195 mm of the shaft inserted from the top of the seatpost collar clamp to the bottom of the shaft plus the 27 mm actuator
222 mm inc the actuator

Finding an alternative longer drop post is proving to be a challenge
The insertion depth on the Levo is quite shallow
I physically tried a 180mm One Up post and there was no chance it would work
I'm going to stick with my 160mm Command dropper for the mo
Its crude and clunky but it works
My quest will continue for a longer , smoother dropper
I'll post it on here if I find something else
Hope this helps
