Hi All,

I need a bit of advise on how the match maker thing works. I am upgrading rear mech to GX AXS and will probably get an dropper post AXS too soon. It Would be really nice to tidy up the cockpit a bit do any brakes come with match maker clamps? Or is it you have to buy the match maker clamps and fit brakes and controllers to them? Thanks and I apologise if a stupid question.

Matchmaker is a Sram product. You may be able to buy the mounts separately (I don't see why not), but on my bikes they always came with the brake/shifter set up. The matchmaker design is something that I would be proud to claim as my own. It is versatile and makes the Shimano I-spec system look clunky and restrictive in comparison. In my opinion! :)

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that Shimano brakes and shifters cannot use the Matchmaker mounts (more's the pity!). If anyone knows different, please correct me.

Thanks for the reply‘s

I found the mmx bracket online at £30 each side. But I am thinking of upgrading my brakes to and wondered if any brakes came with MMX as standard all the web sites see to say Is they are comparable. I might get some code RSC brakes. Thanks again

Magura have a range of clamps to match either Shimano or SRAM. Think they call them ShiftMix rather than MatchMaker
