Map navigation on kiox

Hi all, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction with issues I'm having when trying to use the map navigation on my kiox display. I finally managed to get the maps transfered from komoot ( that wasn't as straight forward as I thought) but went on our first jolly using it and it wouldn't stay connected to my phone. Kept saying "searching for route" I had to keep stopping, getting phone out, resending it only for it to stop again. Very frustrating . I first thought maybe it was because my phone was in my rucksack so I shoved it down my top (not very comfortable or safe). That didn't work either. Is it a Bluetooth issue, or signalling or am I just doing something wrong here? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I have the same exact problem, I think the only way is to have the phone right next to the kiox, which is a bit crap.

One suggestion, make sure the komoot app isn't set to battery optimise on the phone.

Is it an iPhone? Make sure you set location services to permanently on.
