Long travel ebikes: Ducati TK-01RR Special Edition

Any opinions on this one? Or have any good alternatives?
My last bike was the 2019 Kenevo Expert (stealthy black). But I don’t like the looks (colours) of the new ones , or that they droppet the öhlins suspension

I Love the looks of this Ducati (Thok), the Öhlins suspension, battery capacity and that it has the shimano EP8 motor.
I wouldn’t mind changing to a kindernay Vii gearhub and maby even a Veer split belt drive though.

Ben Moor’s Orange phase MX also looks awsome. And could maby more easily run a kidnernay Vii + Gates carbon belt drive (no need for split belt or open up the rear arm.

And ofcourse the Nicolaj Eboox G1 E14. The only stock belt driven long travel FS ebike out there.

The Kellys Theos also looks like a Bomber! Would love to see this one with a kindernay Vii and belt drive

Starling Cycles also have some interesting Prototypes

And let´s not forget the YT Decoy Uncaged 9

The Specialiced Kenevo Export 2020 looked awsome, but what happen to the 2022 model :S ?

Any other recommendations? Wich one would you go for?

Most of the issues with my old kenevo involved the reardrive system.Time maintaining it, tooths breaking off, the derailler getting banged up and destroying my real wheel in the prossess. So a gearhub and belt is prefered. Theweight of the new kindernay vii is also so light it isn’t that much heavier.

I saw the Ducati on embn maybe but couldn't find any geometry numbers when looking online, which put me right off.
Having owned a gen1 kenevo and currently a gen2, I would buy another in a heartbeat. Bloody amazing bike and aftersales support.

And just as the Orange it has a swingarm that’s perfect for a Kindernay Vii + Gates carbon belt drive system .

The Husqvarna Extreme Cross 10 also looks promising

The Forestal Hydra looks insane And it has the swingarm that a gates carbon belt drive would work on
It’s a 60Nm custom bafang motor and 360Wh 51V (up to 610Wh with the extender battery). With Öhlins 180mm fork and 170 mm rear ❤

Weight is insanly light at 19,2kg With these specs it is a close competitor to the Specialized Turbo Kenevo SL
I am sceptical though, since I am a heavy rider (over 100kg) :S It’s going to heat up the range and struggle up the hills.?

If you actually drill down into the specs then a lot of the dual crown equipped bikes are fairly standard models with a big fork put on, and the geometry can be a bit whacky

For me the Pole is the one to look at if you really want a proper big travel beast, as it was always designed to be so, plus it has the updated Bosch systems with the big battery.

Other genuine big travel bruisers are the Whyte e180, Scott Ransom E-Ride, and Haibike Nduro 8

I ride a Decoy Shred. It's an absolute riot. On paper the geo doesn't really make sense, but on trail it is just such a fun bike.

So this makes it two ?(Nicolai Eboxx 14 being the other) Or are there more?

With 215mm suspension in the front reveresed fork, 200mm in the back. Rohloff 14 gearhub, Gates carbon belt drive, Carbon frame and a Sachs 48V, 25/45 km/h motor. This has to be on the heavier side of the scale?

I was going to say Niner WFOe with 180mm front and rear but.... I just broke mine. The pivot bolt sheered off after 380 hard-hitting miles of DH

I have the standard TK01-RR, Full ohlins,and I love it,I personally think that most bikes like this are very similar and you should buy the one you like the look of the most.I have put 1200 miles on mine ,entirely trouble free.I am aware that things could change but so far I am very impressed.

That is a lot of money .Like most of these types of bike they are getting a bit expensive,I ordered one of the first delivery into the UK from Ducati Preston and got it for £6,300 ,before the price hikes happened.Personally I would always go for Aluminium frame,I just dont see carbon as having any real value on something as heavy as an e bike.I get it on a normal bike I just like the extra crash resistance you get with metal,just my opinion .
