Liv Intrigue (aka Trance) that doesn't like getting wet

Hi there, my wife has a late 2019 Liv Intrigue which would be the same as a Trance E+ 2 of the same era. We've had issues with water - first experienced on a river crossing and subsequently given grief on-and-off to the point where she is nervous about it getting wet. Today I gently hosed it down at the trailside facility being careful not to get jets of water anywhere sensitive. I have lost faith in Giant fixing anything so I'll probably have a crack at this myself.
Has anyone experienced similar issues and can point me in the right direction?

Yes, search this Giant forum for "water ingress" and you will find what you seek.

In 2019 the RC1 unit and its connector is the most common failure point. These problems solved, however the bikes are solid.
