Hi All - I have the Orbea rise H30 (full sus) and it weighs about 20kg but I now want a hardtail with at least 500wh with removable battery and 85nm of torque but cant really find anything sub 25kg - anyone any ideas?

Many Thanks!

Might be a crazy option, but how about another bike the same but with the shock locked solid? 🤪

See, whenever I ride my hardtail, I always find myself thinking how great it would be to have an assisted version. The reality is though, the reason it feels so good jumping onto the HT from my Rise, it's because it's light and sprightly.

With the right technique, the back ends hops and skips over rough stuff and it's just generally good fun.

It probably weighs 11kg. As soon as you add the weight of the motor and battery, beef up the frame to make it stronger etc, you immediately loose the playfulness of a HT.

You've got a 20kg+ lump that's just going to smash into everything and not have any suspension to handle the hits.

For any properly off road orientated riding, I dot think an eHT would be any fun personally. I reckon that's why there's so few options out there.
