Lighter wheels/tyres asking for trouble?

Greetings everyone
I was considering fitting my carbon rimmed wheel set and 2.4 high rollers
from my non emtb onto my emtb for general XC trail use as well as going 11 speed too.
Fwiw I’m currently on hope pro 5 hubs/Stans Flow mk4 and Kryptotals 2.4 front and rear.An excellent set up but perhaps overkill for what and where I ride.
Am I asking for trouble ie will the carbon wheels self destruct in a short period and will the tyres disintegrate after a few rides?
Just wanted an opinion from anyone else who has got (now) redundant wheels and lots of decent tyres lying about since buying an emtb and has maybe swapped out their new stuff for a lighter set up.
My new bike is running a Bosch SX motor so no crazy torque figures.
I won’t be hammering trail centres etc like my life depended on it, just enjoying being out there.

both the protection of the carbon rims and suitability of the tyres largely depends on the tyre carcass used and tyre pressures used.......................plus of course the sort of terrain you intend to ride. I use Maxxis tyres and EXO+ on the front and double down on the back. I typically use 20psi front and 22 psi rear for forest trails, 23psi front and 25 psi rear for trails with rock gardens etc. For extra protection you could consider the use of tyre inserts and/or higher pressures. My bike is c25KG and I am 70kg..............the all up weight of your rig may suggest higher pressures if higher than that.

You'll be fine.

Thanks for your input good people
My carbon wheel set is the one from my previous 2017 Giant Anthem 1 therefore Giant’s own make.
Regrettably my e-bike will now be predominantly used for light off road use/country parks hence the original wheel and tyre combo is overkill.
I had to sell my car so I’m unable to ride where I used to.
If I ever get the chance in future to revisit Glentress’s abundant trails I’ll refit the wheels etc the bike came with.I just needed some advice before wasting time swapping things over if it was pointless.
Cheers👍
